Eventful day
Tuesday, March 29, 2005

i've given myself 15 mins to type this blog so I can sleep early (at 4am) and wake up early tomorrow so I can make up for my time wasted in the comm hall for supper... I'm so supposed to watch webcasts but in the end caught up with entertaining friends..

So I should be killing myself for blogging now.. but I would be doing myself a disservice if I don't.. In the afternoon I was going to talk about the cartoon moments of today...

Cartoon Moment 1:-
(lunchtime)
xy: Aiyeer it's odd week again..
me: come to school and ask the lab TAs how to do the question if you don't know lah..
xy: I also dunno wad to ask them.. hmm.. maybe I'll just sit down and cry.. then hopefully they will do everything for me.

So can you imagine walking into the computer lab only to see a whole room of wailing little girls who doesn't know how to do their lab questions?

Cartoon Moment 2:-
(After EL1101E Lecture)
Dr. A: Now there's a talk by the HOD for English on the courses we are offering. It's not compulsary to stay.. but there's a reward for those who do. There's tea outside.

Yeap so we did see the tea and refreshments outside... so me gabe and adrian decided to stay and listen to the monotonous talk.. after all, we were like so damn free..

One by one.. the LT emptied itself.. probably people decided to forsake their yao-qwee-ness for peace on their ears.

Perservere.. perservere... we want to eat the refreshments....

Gabe: Why don't we just go outside and wait?
me: ok good idea.. let's go. I'm not very gian for the refreshments anyway...

And we went out.. and guess what? All those who went out earlier were attacking the food already! And it's an act of blatent stealing.. haha.. lifting the covers off the trays.. taking the chicken wings on paper plates.. for their friends even.. and closing the covers like they never touched the trays of food.. everyone was doing it..

Can you imagine the losers (which could have been us) who perservered till the end of the talk.. happily march out of the LT.. only to find the well disguised trays of refreshments
empty?

HAhahaaa..!!

Probably the night was as eventful as the day.. The biggest thing in town now is now the declaration of love by some thickskinned guy during Maths Lecture.. with the aid of a funky maths lecturer.. and guess what? It's captured on Webcast and probably more than half the engine faculty has watched it already!

Are you an NUS student? Go to this website
http://courses.nus.edu.sg/course/mattanv/ma1506/webcast.htm
Scroll to Chapter 6, click on the left video camera of Lecture 21 (28-3-2005) on Section 6.3-6.5. Don't bother watching the whole lecture on matrices and watever.. just skip to the 57th minute.. yeah and watch the exciting declaration!

Guess the earthquake has struck Sumatra again.. 8.5 on the scale which is quite a massive one... xy was telling me she could feel her house shake... yeah.. it has affected singapore as well. Wonder how devastating this wone would be..

It will be an exciting day tomorrow.. from the small faculty of engineering to the nation to the neighbouring countries.. there will be a topic for everyone to talk about.. can't wait!!

Overshot by 7 mins. GOodnight!

Interpersonal Relationships
Monday, March 28, 2005

Strange timing to make such resolutions.. but from today onwards I will..

1. Look at the person ('s eyes) I am talking to.. instead of looking away.
2. Actively start conversations and keep them going.
3. Minimise whining.
4. Pay attention to a person when he's talking.
5. Speak slower.

Feel free to test me.

I'm so excited to watch movie on Wednesday.. I haven't caught a movie for eons!

And I just love gongfu serials.. was stuck to the TV for 2 whole hours watching 如来神掌 though I never really catch the show.. but the fight scense were simply awesome.. and I saw the trailer for 天龙八部 which was whoa.. even more fantastic than the 倚天屠龙记 which I watched over twice during the last hols..

I'm bringing my set of 天龙八部 to hall to re-read them when I'm sick of mugging.. Though when I read it a few years ago i only caught the gist of the story.. never really understood it entirely...

Aye.. there goes the well wasted long weekend. I'm the greatest procrastinater in the world.

Budden.. we all look like kids haha!!

That was like.. 2 years ago? Haha how time flies man...

Finally went to orchard road today.. whoa.. didn't watch a movie like we originally planned.. (luckily we didn't haa.. I'm like broke now after giving someone a treat a few days back... must wait for the new month to come) but we went to TOYS R US!!! Whoa nowadays toys are so high class.. so different from now.. me and toad had a field time medddling with stuff meant for kids..

Nothing much to write about.. Just realised how near exams are.. so probably it's time to sent this machine to the gallows again...

Another eventful week...
Friday, March 25, 2005

So wat's my excuse for not bloggin this time? Birthday celebrations? Programming lab (and yes that really screwed up my biological clock)...? Uncensored..? Senior's farewell celebrations? EL Project..? As usual.. it's updating time after another hell week of events.. and of course.. to get away from webcast for a while...

Happy Birthday Yaohui!!
Despite attempts and attempts to keep birthdays simple.. I guess we will never be content with simple birthdays.. haha..

Bong下厨! Yumyum chicken chop... NOT! Guess what we did with all the chicken meat? We.. er.. minced it.. with Block A's lousy blunt choppers.. Therefore transforming the level 5 kitchen into a temporary construction site with the incessant thunderous pounding sending the girls in a screaming frenzy to shut us (our choppers) up.. And guess again what we did with the lousily minced chicken? We.. er.. mixed it together with minced pork and fried it. Yeah... quite daft but well...

So besides mutilating their lousy choppers I think i kin

da used up half their kitchen oil to deep fry the fries, onion rings, japanese crispy chicken with none other than Block D Deep Fryer! *clapclapclap* Brought the deep fryer over of course.. weijie suggested going over to my block to fry the stuff and you should see Lena's (block A block head) face when I replied "不要啦... 在我block fry弄到我 block 油油肮脏. 在这边 fry 比较好.." =)

Check out the food!

Of course the onion rings were already half eaten before serving.. thanks to er... me.

So this was part 1.. a very rare reunion of the 9 brothers (quek overseas).. eating.. singsong.. crapping... doing wat we do best - nonsense stuff. Worth missing goodluck concert for I guess.

But me and toad managed to catch a bit of goodluck concert.. with the hidden agenda of planning part 2 ... more of a reenactment of what I spontaneously 整 Chye when I found his matric card.. whose idea is ultimately.. courtesy of Sijie hahaa... Yah yaohui too off already.. have to make him go around asking his card from prominent people like Zhengxi.. Jeremy.. Block Heads.. blah blah...

And we gave him like SIXTEEN stations! <<*FLASHBACK*>>

Me: Eh 10 stations enough or not?
Toad: Huh? So little?!
Me: (write write write...)
Me: Er.. 16 can?
Toad: Ok.. that's better.

And we made him run all over Sheares Hall! <<*FLASHBACK*>>

Toad: Want to let him clear block by block or not?
Me: No lah! Clear block by block where got fun!?

Haa evil 9th and 10th. >P

So after the ardious task of distributing the clues to the targets there was the more challenging task to get the matric card from him... A few failed attempts until Junsheng used his "Lemme show you a magic trick" stunt and just took Yaohui's matric card like that.. and there was Lixiang whom he nonchalently passed the card to who in turn discreetly passed to toad and voila! We could proceed as planned.

Blah blah blah.. so we stole his matric card and he has to go around finding his card.. not until we msged him the 1st clue using Guoyou's handphone (yes it was Guoyou's handphone haha) and he embarked on his quest around hall.. The rest of us mend comms via MSN.. toad dancing away.. Think it was halfway through when yaohui and lixiang walked past my room for the 2nd time I saw the sian look on his face.. ah thought the plan would backfire but luckily it didn't...

Blah blah blah.. at the 2nd last station we rushed to his room (using his kopped matric card) and tried to stick the candles into the cake with rock hard chocolate frosting and awaited his arrival.. blah blah blah.. cut cake.. blow candles.. end of story.

That was part 2.
Happy 22nd Birthday Yaohui!!!

Seniors' Farewell
I just wanna say that the video is so damn funny!! Lucky i went to MPSH just in time to catch the block D item.. I guess I won't get to be part of any seniors farewell video next time.. so fun so fun!

Er.. that's about all.. why did I create a heading for it anyway?

Programming Lab
Tuesday evening.. slept straight after dinner.. all the way until 10.. went for SH25 (which weijie still owes me $10 in endorsement fees.. my face not free ah..) came back.. bathed.. and at midnight.. embarked on my

=CS1101E PROGRAMMING METHODOLOGY IN C LAB=

I almost fainted when I read the question.. was it 1 lab question? It was like 10 Questions disguised as 1!!! Whoa if anyone can finish in 2 hours I'll build an altar for him and kowtow to him.. In 2 hours I only like planned out how i wanna solve the bloody problem.. and yes.. I worked through the night on the bloody program..

Oh yes Uncle Vincent's Yong Tau Hoo is good.. nothing like hot soup to accompany through the night..

7 am and there will this bloody bug which I can't seem to solve.. tried millions of methods.. trudged into the comm hall for breakfast.. and saw Choon Kiat (Block C) floating in too..

Me: Never sleep ah?
CK: No...

Ok... so by induction I would guess there are 200 zombified chem-engineers-wannabes out there in the same predicament as us at that time.

8 am I couldn't stand it and stormed off to computer lab to seek help from the tutors.. Yes I haven't touched my ta-paoed breakfast...

AND I FORGOT TO BRING MY PASSWORD!!! I TRAVELLED ALL THE WAY TO THE SICKENING COMPUTER LAB AND I FORGOT TO BRING MY PASSWORD!!!! So guess what? I changed my password on the spot. Smart right? Haha yes it will take 1 hour for the new password for the same effect.

ARGH!!! ONE HOUR!! like I have tutorial in 1.5 hours.. ok so that's how the day going to start for me.. And so I struggled to explain to the tutor wat my algorithm was like and what she thinks could possibly be wrong.. and face it yes.. she can't solve anything without actually looking at the programming script stored in the depths of my screwed up account..

Ok all wasn't too bad lah.. haa (bluffed you all by all the whining earlier..) i managed to log in after frantically trying for about 20 mins... and yeah.. the tutors sort solved my program in like 40 mins? After which I zoomed off for Sociology class...

11am.. went back to hall.. tried to finish the program.. fell asleep.

2pm.. struggled to finish the bloody mess of words.. and SUBMITTED IT!!!!

*plonk* I hit the bed all the way till dinner time.

Yeah that's how a programming lab could just screw up my biological clock.

Dance Uncensored
Was surprised how this thing could me such a big thing.. i mean even my junior-to-be KwanAik from 42 was going for it.. my classmates were talking about it.. and UCC was FULL. Whoa.. ok but the dances were like so-so.. not the shiok feeling when watch funka type dances.. Me jianfa and audris were like the only reps from Sheares.. other than Faith and Jason who came later.. so we had to take on the task for cheering for our dancers when they took the stage..

Lets see who else was there..? Hmm.. Leon.. Calvin.. Watson.. Crystal.. yeah they came to support Manting..

So KR Dance is a Committee.. not like a small troupe like us. So zai.

Last dance event for the academic year. ~Cheers to all dancers!~

Block D Concert
When the idea first surfaced I was rather skeptical about it.. first it being a blatent copy of Block C's well established Night of 77 Stars.. second it has to be continued next year..

Oh hohoho.. but it turned out better than expected.. Much better than the all crappy 77... coz we had real singers.. real band people.. real accapella singers.. and it was in an air-con MPSH.. and the turnout was great.. nice and cosy for all Deeblockers and a few nosey parkers from other blocks despite the next day (today) being Good Friday.

And everyone spontaneously participated.. even the level 5 girls which I constantly complained about danced to prove me wrong. Haa thanks a lot girls.. really a great dance.. just have to be like that next year and we can revive the dying block culture... but.. you all need to train harder to fulfil my cheering girls fantasies haha!

Today
Actually i'm tired of bloggign already... as you can see this is like an exceptionally long post and I have like watched only one webcast.. Feel like going out badly tomorrow.. need to breathe some orchard air.. clamoured up in hall/home all the time is no good.

Good night.~

Reality Check
Thursday, March 24, 2005

I think i need help.. I need someone to talk to... face to face..

I'm beginning to think I'm living in my own illusionary world.. esp when the images in my dreams and the fantasies i conjure don't seem to surface in real life.. Am I just doing all the wrong things...? Maybe I just miss all the opportunities..? Or maybe.. I don't know what I'm looking for at all....

There just something missing.. maybe there isn't anything at all.. or more of there's this barrier.. this thin transluscent barrier that I so much want to overcome but am trying so hard to. Trying too hard probably. For many a time I think I'm just tired of trying but I can't resist myself from attempting again anyway.. but yes.. failed.

What is this 感觉 I'm looking for if... it doesn't work both ways?

Maybe it's time to take a step back.. and let the birds fly free again.

Distracted
Monday, March 21, 2005

I really have a problem studying.. maybe it's an at home thing.. but when I flip open my notes I do other things like cut my nails.. dig my ears.. read MSN nicks.. ARGH! And I did a grand total of

ONE

tutorial question.

Wakey wakey chio~ exams coming soooon..

Ok I did finish up the EL1101E project in the morning.. if that is considered work done.

Anyway I installed MSN Polygamy (which worked!!) and set up another MSN account (yeah another of the boliao things I did instead of studying).. So I started shifting people I rarely talk to into this new account.. Mostly Shearites... planning to make that a Shearite account.. coz I figured out most of my new friends will prob come from hall..

Having 2 MSNs running at the same time.. hmm.. how shiok is that? haha..

黄城夜韵 2005
Saturday, March 19, 2005

The last time I went for 黄城 I was still blogging in my livejournal blog.. I went to reread it again and found similar sentiments...

"Clocked another Hwachong event.

Though the script was hollow, the acting was lousy and the directing could definitely have more style.. it was after all a Hwachong production.. a production I was part of. Though I was restless throughout the draggy performance, what took me back to my seat was the ending credits.. when all of the crew took centre stage once more to take their final bow..

Yep. Now watching al these kids do what we did.. the feeling is very good. The feeling is the same whether it's O1, CNY, MAF or Huang Cheng.. the pressing urge to return to the good ol days but held back by the helplessness of maturing. Going back to Hwachong events is just to rekindle memories of the carefree and fun-filled days.. surrounded by friends who inevitably share and contribute to your joy of being young. "

I guess it's the same again this year.. though I think this year's production was much better than last year's. The script was still inherently lousy but I thought the handling of the 1st 2 acts were rather good. But HuangCheng can never be as good as the good old days in terms of standard and spirit I guess.

Ultimately, the best part of the show was when the emcee announced
"现在我们来邀请黄城夜韵台前幕后的人员... 演员!"
And immediately memories of me rushing forward to bow to the raging audience would gush into my head again.
Ah those good old days.
Paying money for HuangCheng was not for the drama.. it is more for reliving the memory once more.

Snowball of Events
Thursday, March 17, 2005

boy how long have I not touched this blog? whoa this is the record of ultimate busyness.. took me a little while before I decided to tread on this page again to start bloggin.. i've been jotting down little things I wanted to say these days so looking at the amount I have to write kinda increased the inertia.

But well.. here I come.. and here it goes.. in reverse-chronological order...

Retrospect - CMB Concert
So this is what's keeping me busy this past week.. after all the gruelling mid-sems.. DANCE. I've seriously never danced so much in my life! Grooving to Destiny Child's Lose my Breath really took my breath away.. literally. Yutaki cheorographed a terribly difficult dance!! Even ChinTeng said it was a level 4000 module dance.. though it looked nice if the moves were executed well.. but I just couldn't. But it did really feel shiok mastering the dance (to my standards) and not forgetting the moves. Sometimes I think it's quite a waste to dance it once only but it was truely a memorable experience. Thanks for all those who shouted my name when I appeared on stage.. haha though I didn't quite execute the moves sharply and ahem made a wrong turn haa..

Watever the case.. photos of the concert (pre and post concert rather) are here:

I guess this put a nice end to a dancing career in Sheares... I won't join ShearesDance again next year coz I'd just wanna concentrate on what I'm supposed to be. Though dance was a great experience! Good luck to all Sheares Hall dancers! Will continue to give ultimate support!!

NUS Open House 2005
KR threw in their all in this open house.. their whole lobby looked like an amusement park in the waiting.. with huge banners and balloons and streamers and a huge man and even an ice cream stall at the door to welcome the freshies.

That night after DnD.. we knew we were trashed. Our huge banner and rearranged couches were miserably pathetic compared to our neighbours. Even after bringin out the Rag fin and the VC man didn't help much. Tech Crew's amplifier burst and yeah we didn't have music... and there was the impending conflict that SECC (Sheares Exposure Camp Committee.. the camp I was in together with the rest of the MafBrothers) had to help ERC (External Relations Committee) with the tours and stuff...

But everything seemed to fall in place for SECC.. we only intended to give out flyers and collect emails during open house but we decided we had to do more. Zibin suggested wearing the DnD costumes to attract attention.. and I suggested using placards and laptops blasting music to attract attention. And Voila! We immediately embarked on our very first worksession (yes at 2am after DnD for goodness sake!) to make the placards while I printed the photos. Not toad's standard of painting but still visible from far.. and everyone of us had to catch only an hour+ of sleep before fighting the war tomorrow..

And to the battlefield of MPSH we went.. and what an impact we created! Weijie's Sun Wukong costume.. Chye's Arabian suit.. Zibin the Coyboy and Chio the Japanese priest with the sword turned heads at the MPSH.. Could feel the war winning at our court when even people from KR came up to me and said "whoa Sheares Hall.. ~respect"

Weijie the SunWuKong and me th Japanese Priest Posted by Hello

Apparantly the other camp back at Hall didn't do badly too.. using Juli's (albeit low-class technique) of slutty girls to bring in the people.. and of course the Bus Uncle to stop closer to Sheares Hall. I mean if even the President of KR bothered to go and complain means we were affecting them quite a bit.

Peihao and gang (junior PCs from 42) were like damn impressed with Sheares Hall and wanted very much to come in.. whoa what an impact yeah?

Back to the MPSH battlefront.. at the end of the day what did we have?
390 names
(mostly girls of course)

We only had about 150 last year. What a good start!

Enigma - An Eastern Affair
Yup that's the theme of Sheares Hall Dinner and Dance.. which turned out to be much of a reliving Prom days.. Pageant.. Photo taking.. Posh costumes.. Block A gang bothered to rent costumes (which weren't that expensive.. about $30 bucks) for the event which was what everyone was supposed to do.. Hai guess we would have too if we weren't desperately poor.. Adriene and Jeremy were the eventual Pageant Queen and King.. after much hype.. the results were quite obvious actually.. coz they really performed well.. and Estee got her much deserved Ms. Photogenic award.

The only thing though.. my camera batteries died halfway. Thought it had enough stamina to last even after Chem Eng Bash.. but guess not. Rule of the thumb: Always charge batteries before any big event. Either that or get spare batteries.. but still charge both of them!

Even so.. I still took a credible amounnt of pictures... check them out

Block D
Originally meant to be a 激将法 turned sour. But I don't really care. Was reading Shyuan's blog about CMB concert yesterday on how on the seniors are.. cracking jokes and hyping up the crowd.. which she described as somewhat a dying feeling in the block. Come next year and beyond I believe our batch guys can do it if we want.. but what about the senior girls? I mean even for a small event like Dodgeball later in the day no girls would wanna participate.. while during the meeting last night I see girls from block A, B, C, E.. not only 1 but at least a few of them. And who from our block came down? Stella, Belle and Xiangying. Wait don't clap yet.. they're from HAC.

After 1 year in Block Comm this feeling became from understanding to disappointment to simply giving-up-hope. I mean doing so much for the block what do we get in return? Participation at least? No. What's the point of having weekly block suppers if only a few cats turn up at the rooftop? Mostly guys. WHat's the point of coming up just to take a few bites then going back to your rooms? So where's the intended Block Interaction? What's the point of other committees organising Hall events if only Block Comm goes? And I think I was really pissed and tired some time ago that I flared up on MSN at the particularly off people. I mean if you wanna stay in your rooms wat for stay in hall? Wouldn't staying in PGP be better for you and me?

Whatever.. I guess the reality can't be changed now. It's too rooted. Gone are the days of IBG when you would still actively participate in more than 1 sport and stretch yourself to the limits.. get trashed and stay close. Gone are the days when you would go down and support our own block mates even on Sundays.

Gone.

So cheering girls. Fill up the slots ok? =)

Sheares Exposure Camp Committee
This was one big thing bothering me some time back.. but I guess there's no point talking about it now.. i'm just so glad the council gang is back in action again. And so glad that MQ took up the chair so I can continue with my holiday plans. Glad that those who wanted to join but didn't join initially finally joined after much persuasion. Though the composition now is not the ideal structure I might have wanted it to be.. but guess I have no say. haa.. just hope that we would have fun organising the camp.. just as emily had hoped us to have.

Dare - Chem Engine Bash @ Rouge
Turned out to be better than ANY of the Sheares Hall bashes I've gone to. Yes the girls do matter. Can't believe my class girls are just so on. Haa.. of course there were the seniors who were equally if not more hot on the dance floor.. 'Nuff said. Lost the 感觉 to talk about it. So too bad lor. haa it shall remain a sweet memory for me ;)

Canon IXUS 40
Haha.. after much considerition and a hint of brashness I forked out the minute bit of my reserve account (I invested the rest) to plunge it in the Canon IXUS 40 at the Sheares Hall Bazaar. And wat a cool gadget it was!! Though I'm still experimenting with the best techniques for better pictures it was generally a happy investment. Even my mother was mesmerised by it.. despite buying for herself a Fuji Finepix E500 less than a month ago. Almost wanted to sell the Finepix for her but she didn't want to in the end.. so well.. my family has 2 digital cameras.

And yes.. this little gadget made me poorer than ever before.

Next up: IPod Mini / Creative Zen Micro.

xy
Quek's right.. I shouldn't be talking about all these on the blog.. What if she's secretly reading? Haha.. then I'd just die in her face.

But I think I scored a lot of points recently. And she wants to come into Sheares.. of course I'm desperately pulling all my strings to get her in. Bwahahhaaa..

Lalala... ok you've reached the end. Look at the time? You know I actually fell asleep last night while blogging on my bed? I woke up at 11 to continue blogging and it's now 1pm! Ok I have to do have to do my maths now. Maybe revise a bit of CEP before i go for lecture later..

Ooh lectures... =)

Finally...
Friday, March 04, 2005

Be forewarned: This entry is going to be loooooooong.
Yes you are not dreaming. This is the english alphabet revived.

Why I blogged in Japanese
More of it evolved from Toad's instigation.. and I decided to irritate you readers a bit.. as well as to see how much of my O-Level Jap has washed down the drain.. so I started the 1st Jap entry. It proved to be rather addictive I suppose.. to be able to use the language once again.. to have no one understand what the hell I'm writing except myself.. But I must admit my command of the language is still absolutely lousy.. so admidst the occasional chinese characters (called kanji btw) are a whole lot of japanese characters (called hiragana) in a mess of grammatical errors that would trigger a real anti-ChiosBlog petition from raving Jap linguists. So lousy was my jap I can't formulate complicated thoughts accurately in the language so I put them on hold (yes to this very entry) and derogated to simple sentence structures like "I hate CEP" and "I'm studying late with Level 4 guys"... Which kinda fit the hectic schedule i have since I can't afford long blogs.. so I conveniently stuck to Jap for the subsequent few days while I mugged intensively...

42SAR ATEC
Glossary:
42SAR - 42nd Singapore Armoured Regiment.. where I was from;
ATEC - Army Tactical Evaluation Centre.. kinda a final year exam for a unit before they ORD
While I was battling it out with my pen, paper and calculator in the freezing MPSH and LTs for my mids, my buddies were out the sweating out in the unexplorerd jungles of Singapore. They ended this morning. When Daniel my Int Sergeant called me (yah I was surprised he did.. quite glad that he stills remembers me haa) to share the joy of the end of ATEC he poured out the tonnes of stories in the gruelling 4days 4nights... Well.. I'm glad it's over for them.. and the specs will be receiving their pink ICs soon... joining back the civilian world.. which also means the impending start of my reservist if I were really in the same unit as them.....

Guess the only regret I have in my army career is I didn't go through this last leg with them.

Danceworks
It's almost a week since the competition ended. We didn't win a thing. Though I thought the cheer was tremendously good. It was only a 30s thing and everything happened so fast on stage i didn't even know it ended (gosh I didn't even know it started!) but the roars and applause from the crowd was appalling.. For a moment I thought how come everyone was so on and cheering for us.. the lousily dressed (in IHG T-shirt and track pants) non-professional team. But only after watching the video by Gene then I was convinced we were really stunning.. especially the final pose... almost had the rag final pose feel. And they didn't seem to cheer for the other teams at all..

But well.. we didn't win. The dance didn't either. Neither did toad's poster. Was quite disappointed.. but well.. guess it puts and end and more effort other things more useful.. like STUDIES. Oh but Hwachong got over 3rd that day! What a stunner!!

The most breathtaking performance would by the Little White Riding Hoods (Junqiang's and Jiexiao's group.. Funkamania 1st runner up) and Knockouts (Adriene's group). The opening by the Knockouts set the tone for a potentially good dance but the sudden entry of the white hooded male dancers set the crowd cheering even more.. the moves were spectacular.. and the merging of the 2 dances (originally from funka) seemed to interweave seamlessly. Really.. that performance alone made up for all the time wasted there... yeah wasted coz we never win.

One thing worth mentioning about the cheering team by SAJC.. whoa they were sooooooooooooo cuuuuuutttteeee!!!!!! It was like hundreds of xys on stage cheering and jumping and waving pompoms shouting out whoa I almost melted into a puddle of chio on the spot. THat set my direction for the block intake - cheering girls. So while block A and block E can have all the chiobus (B and C can have the shemales).. the direction for block D will be Cheering Girls! I can imagine taking the lift up to the rooftop only to hear hoardes of girls cheering when the lift door opens at level 5. And yes.. the timing is just right.. SAJC girls.. COME TO SHEARES HALL BLOCK D!!!

Academics
Ok.. so all of you should have known I buanged by Chem Eng Princples test.. really buanged. Was terribly terribly sad that day but I guess I've gotten over it now. I just don't want to know how much I got.. just don't let it trigger sad memories.

Computing mids was bad too.. strange though I thought it was alright.. thought i might have scored well this time round for once.. but haiz. Guess the whole cohort died together. Average was 14.7 / 26 can you believe it???

Sociology today was not too bad.. studied the whole of yesterday in Business Library hoping to finish the entire syllabus but I ended up spending 2 hours debugging xy's computing lab program. So I missed out studying 1 topic entirely even before the test since it's 4 questions choose 1 it wasn't too bad. And it really wasn't.

So not I should be mugging for maths.. which I have totally zeolets an idea about.. tried doing tutorial a few days ago but ended up in a struggling mess.. But only to find out I have to present a question for Computing tutorial so it's temporarily back to the C compiler for tonight. (Yeah what's with programming always thwarting my study plans?) I hope tomorrow i'm able to bia finish the whole maths chapters. Luckily the test on sat is in the afternoon...

Money
I'm running low of it. Yes that is if I want to buy the Canon Ixus 40 on sale at the Bazaar for $690. Ok I'm tapping on my reserve account here but I'll put it back. And soon my reserve account will be non-existent anymore coz I'm dumping those hard earned money into some fund which would lock it up for 5 years and hopefully does some useful reproduction instead of being risked squandered away if it's left in my savings account.

DnD.. Chem Eng Bash.. Chem Eng DnD.. whoa how much more do I need to spend???

xy
I was filled with regret the whole of last saturday when I chose to compare answers for the computing past year questions with Jerry instead of entertaining her when she came to stand beside me before the test.. while waiting the gates of hell (MPSH) to open. But somehow everything turned for the better...

Had lunch with her on Tuesday.. and yes she's the reason why I'm suddenly abandoning my no-lunch resolution. Shall not elaborate so much here.. the rest of the world doesn't need to know.

I'm so confused now actually. Our relationship has reached a greater level in just these few days.. meeting before lecuture.. sitting together.. talking cock online.. I dare say now she doesn't feel the awkwardness at all with me now.. and it was a surprise just now when she came to look for me at the sheares bazaar after her lesson coz I told her about it.. yah then driving us to Engine for the next lecture..... and i'm totally comfortable with her and every minute of her company is just so damn intoxicating.

But it's friendship for now.. if I want it to maintain this way.
Sometimes I just feel the urge to just go all out and woo her over but I'm just too scared it'll spoil everything now.. everything now it's so.. perfect.

I really wouldn't wanna ask for more... at least for now.

I think I'm letting myself slide into the same predicament as 4th. But I can't help it.

Ok folks.. so much for the updates for now. Don't worry.. no more foreign language blogs from now.. unless I suddenly take up Punjabi or something.. haa.

Good night while i get back to programming.
