I really dun wanna type today coz it's not the end of the exams yet.. but so many things happened today..
I literally wasted the whole day today.. according to plan. Need to detox from exam stress. 5 more days to the end of craziness.. that means 4 more days to start on CM1502 which i haven't even started.
Maths sucked. Not only did I leave questions undone.. those that i did were carelessly wrong. Though expected... after doing 2 past year papers I can't snap myself out of making stupid mistakes. Well... welcome to the bottom of the bell curve.
Hmm.. so how did I waste my time? 1. Played The Sims 2. Watched Super Size Me 3. Planned for birthday celebrations 4. Went out to buy birthday cake 5. Watched Singapore Idol 6. Continue planning for birthday celebrations...
So it seems like a long drawn planning? Well it was.. to coordinate 2 people (it was both Xiangying's and Yiling's birthdays) at the same time.. had to beg people to act (Xiuying to act as the fainting babe... Kayping to act as the "4th contestant"... Suzanne and Stella to faint as well haha).. tackle sensitive issues (who should lure Xiangying up.. Weijian or Francis?) manupulating situations (getting Yiling back from Suntec... getting Xiangying back from business...) encouraging people to participate amidst exams.. well.. I abandoned 3 earlier plans before settling for the final one...
So here's what should have happened:
Xiuying will go talk to Yiling in her room at 0045 hrs.
At 0100 hrs, Xiuying will have gastric pains and ask Yiling to take her medicine box from Suzanne
Suzanne will make a big deal out of it and call the whole level 5 to level 7 to see how Xiuying is. THe main idea is to get Xiangying up.
By then Xiuying should have knocked out. The girls suggest calling the guys to carry her to lobby while MQ calls the ambulance.
The guys come up with the cake. Jingwen and I will go talk to Xiuying while the rest of them prepare the cake behind the crowd of girls.
I will say "Oh no it must be the expired tang yuan I gave you. I forgot it was last weeks."
Jingwen will say "Hey don't go you still owe me $2."
Xiuying will wake up suddenly and give Jingwen $2 and we will all sing birthday song. [anticlimax.. but well..]
And here's what happened... and what didn't
Yiling came back by 0020. I called Yongsheng to pack up and get Xiangying back. And I specifically told him to keep it a secret.
Ah yes and the power of love. Some people just too daft or can't bear lying in front of loved ones. He told her everything
COCKUP 1: XIANGYING STARTS TO SUSPECT
CONTINGENCY 1: Suzanne to talk to Xiangying to convince her the guys not doing anything
Xiangying called Yiling to ask if they guys are planning anything.. Yiling obviously knows nuts.. but was on her guard. Xiangying asked Lilian the same question.. luckily Lilian knows nuts too. Xiangying asked Suzanne.. who did a clean denial.. of course.
COCKUP 2: XIANGYING WENT TO YILING'S ROOM AT 0050 HRS
CONTINGENCY 2: Told Meiqiang to go to Yiling's room. Everything as planned just that Meiqiang had to keep Xiangying in the room when Yiling went to get Suzanne.
COCKUP 3: SHEARES SHORT FILM WAS OUTSIDE LEVEL 7 AND BOTH GIRLS THINK THAT WAS PART OF "OUR" PLAN
CONTINGENCY 3: No effect. Divert attention away from us. Proceed as planned but delay H-Hour.
COCKUP 4: SHEARES SHORT FILM STARTED TO SING THEM BIRTHDAY SONG. CAN'T GIVE XIUYING HER 'MISSED CALL' CUE.
CONTINGENCY 4: SMSed her to start when the Short Film peeps were gone.
Xiangying called me.
XY: Are you in your room?
Me: (Trying to sound as normal as possible) Yah why?
XY: Did you drive? Do you have your car?
Me: (Puzzled) No. Why?
XY: Nevermind. I'll go look for you later.
Truely puzzled.. took me a few seconds to figure it out... Xiuying had "fainted". Kudos to our Drama Queen!
Suzanne called. Time for the guys to go up with the cake.
COCKUP 5: XIUYING DIDN'T KNOCK OUT. SHE WAS JUST TERRIBLY UNCOMFORTABLE. COULDN'T EXECUTE THE $2 PLAN.
COCKUP 6: THERE WASN'T THE "CROWD OF GIRLS" I EXPECTED. THE GUYS WERE HIDING AT THE LIFT LOBBY.
CONTINGENCY 5: Did the $2 thing anyway.. with no effect
CONTINGENCY 6: This one stunned me. I can't just start singing the Birthday song as planned coz it will be damn off. I couldn't hint to the guys to come to the room with the cake in any way and in that short time both birthday girls were looking away from the door. Ok.. so if they don't come, I will bring the girls to them. Suggested that Yiling and Xiangying help Xiuying down to "Francis' Car".
And yeah, ambushed by the guys with the cake. Happy Birthday girls!
And of course.. what succeeded but the normal "ponding" and shampooing of the girls.
And of course.. their retaliation by stealing slippers.. what's new?
Haha so I'm beginning to admire myself as a strategist and a contingency king. Think being both an armour officer and and an intelligence officer helps haha... though I really wanted to execute the first plan which was way more complex and required 10 times more coordination than this one... I must establish myself as the master of Counter-Manouvoure Force Operations (as we armour kias fondly call CMFO).. haha infantry birds sorry you lost out on the most exciting parts of military warfare... happy walking in the jungles.
And I so miss army. Weilong came to visit me today.. with 3 packets of Ah Balling Tang Yuan. Quite some catching up. Can't believe that less than a year ago he was my trusty spec and now he's a teacher-to-be and I'm a freaking student in this University of Hell. He certainly doesn't look 26..
And relationships can be so fragile. Ben just ended his 4 year relationship like that.. and they were already planning to get married!
Ok.. it's 3.3oam.. wow. It's time to end the slack day. Come tomorrow it's full force of biaaing!!!!
