42SAR ORD Parade

This was part of my draft for the post I'm writing now but I've decided to 'jump the gun'.
Sorry if it's filled with all the army jargon.. it's late can't be bothered to explain. You girls/foreigners go figure out yourselves haa..
Going back to camp was not as nostalgic as I thought it to be.. on the contrary it turned out to be rather exciting.. haa to see old friends and superiors.. (who all said I grew fat).. Though last minute KwanAik, Xueying, Peihao and Kangwei didn't turn up.. was glad that my batch Raj, Yuming and Robin did.. all the ex-OCs came back.. Surprised to see Eric Kong as the new OC J.. to see B2 slim down so much haa..
So it's rather confirmed that I'm their S2.. I was introduced to the S3 CPT(NS) Lin Pin from ATC.. supposedly my working partner for the next 13 years...
And more stun is the weirdest people were thrown as PCs.. Danesh (used to be DyS3), HengSoonLee (used to be MTO), CheeAnn (used to be DyS1)... and Weilong's my IntSpec haaa so it's back to my old team of specs and drivers.. Quite happy with my branch. Though we already pakah to all chu stunt during ICT and all smoke out haaa
The dinner at cookhouse was FANTASTIC!!! Yah it's probably the best food I ever ate in cookhouse ever in my life! Went 2 rounds haha.. they were all trying to stop me coz I was too round haa..
Well.. while all the other PCs/future OCs went back to their company lines to talk to their men (the specs all ORDed already).. I reclused back to my air-conditioned branch and had a nice chat with my only guy left.. Wilson my driver.
Heck care all the security in the camp I brought a camera in and started snapping away like a typical Chio would.. quite a pity I didn't take a photo with all the ex-OCs and with ex-S3 and S2! Yes the greatest regret is I always never get to sit down and have a proper chat with S2 all these gatherings.. from Army Open House to ChoonKiat's wedding to BranchOutings to ORD Parade... Dunno why I have this strong urge to have a good long talk with him.. maybe it's to make up for the non-proper-handover of the branch to him before I ORDed.. maybe it's the J Coy CPT incident long ago.. hmm.. or maybe I just want to know more about the branch before taking over from him again.... Well.. but he's still such an elusive character.. haa so typical of a scout.. =)

Near midnight I received a mail from B2.. with the mailing list exactly the same as the mail I sent out a year ago when I ORDed to all the 42SAR commanders.. he probably just 'replied-to-all' with the following....
I'm sending this to touch base with past and present Comds of 42 SAR's 6th mono-intake.
Thanks for all your contribitions & effort to smoothen-out the Bn's tough journey.
I was also glad to see many of you returning for today's ORD parade. It certainly served to remind us of the strong spirit that we had built together over the years.
The future of 490 SAR rest in all your good hands.
Till we meet again for the 1st ICT in WY 07.
