Of Halls and Hotels

I seem to get the kick out of blogging secretly in the office.. haha while the rest of the world think I am diligiously calling people with the headset kiapped in between my ear and my shoulder.. while frantically bloggin away haha..
HOTEL
Robin was invited to stay over at some posh apartment in Orchard.. lavished with all the HP gadgets from huge projector screens to photo printers to laptops to iPaQs so that he could write a review for Digital Life.. and he invited me to stay over.. and boy did I have a good time there..
It was like almost staying overseas.. nice posh hotel room with a cool view over the whole of Orchard.. all the gizmos all over the room... and all I had to do there was to enjoy life.. There was even a whole supply of HP photo paper for us to print photos.. which unfortunately I didn't have the time to because I went there late.. but whou this is they type of house I would definitely want to live in.. high tech.. everything controlled by a remote.. and if given a chance to steal something from the room.. it would definitely be the projector which I could watch TV (SCV included), DVDs and even use MSN from...
Yup.. and I met some of the reporters from Digital Life as well.. people who write the articles you read.. and realised that they are actually quite a crazy bunch.. friendly as well.. coz we were chatting quite casually almost instantly.. kinda coz maybe it's because of their job requirements to be friendly so they can dig out the juciest stories from their subjects haha..
Too bad I didn't really take many photos of the place.. it's really cool.. just that the wireless internet connection didn't like my laptop I couldn't configure my laptop for internet last night.. so this entry had to be written now instead.. But the night was spent watching Gangs of New York.. yeap on the big screen.. all the way till 3am... before tucking into the comfy bed to catch that few hours of sleep....
HALL
If you were reading consientiously you might have realised that I went over to Robin's place late.. yeah I was. Coz I was summoned back by Francis to choose new foreign students into our hall.. Not like I made much of a difference there.. he had already an idea of who to take already.. which seemed like good choices.. (anyway they were foreign students which had a good chance they'd all be off and slack away with their door closed for the whole of next year). Glad that we took in all Malaysians.. so hope they would be onz kias...
But I forsee the fight for the local students gonna get rather ugly.. especially when it comes to how many we are supposed to take in.. coz different blocks are of different capacities and taking in less locals will mean filling them up with more scholars (scholars from certain countries are incredulously off). Though much lies in fate and luck with the rolling of dice.. it suddenly dawned upon me the choice between friends and capability... with so limited places left in the block. Promoting Sheares Hall to friends doesn't guarantee them a place in a block that they want.. aiyah too confusing to blog abt this anymore la
See? Absence from blogging has rendered me non-bloggable anymore.. Aiyah I'll pick it up slowly anyway...
