Whoa it's a long time since I posted man.. i wonder who still reads this blog..?
Yeah it's been more than a MONTH since i last posted.. and the grand total number of posts I made this semester is TEN.. whoa compared to the hundreds that I posted the whole of last year.. I remember like blogging faithfully before sleeping every night.. hmm.. wonder if I can keep up with that.
To all bloggers.. do you have the feeling that everytime you encounter something you feel like putting it down in words.. ready to be transcripted (haa too much LSM) into your blog but at night when you finally write it you forget what you want to write already?
Ok wadever.. pardon me I haven't blogged for so long it'll take me some time before I get reorientated into the world of writing again.. haha.. so let me start with some whimpsical whines..
EXAMS!
Haaaai.. this sem seems to be the worst yet.. actually I kinda expected it.. with 5 core modules it sucks to start revising 1 month earlier before the exams and still canoot finish studying.. Gone are the days of Secondary School.. A Level when I can walk into an exam hall feeling prepared for the module.. having done past year papers... while now I only struggle to look through (note look through not even doing) tutorials.. most of which cannot be done unless i have the answer key.
So instead of ranking my exams from the hardest onwards.. lemme rank them from the funniest onwards.
Chio's Semester 3 Examinations Funny Rankings!
- LSM1401 (BioChem)- Extremely funny. 60 MCQ in 2 hours. 2 mins per question = 10 seconds to read, 1 minute 30 seconds to flip the book, 15 seconds to think and 5 seconds to shade the bloody oval. Which cannot be done. Easier option = tikam all the way. Also amusing in a way that it was the noisest examination of all.. with all the frantic flipping of the textbooks the whole 2 hours!
- CM1501 (Organic) - A bigger guessing game than LSM. This exam is not about how much you know about what react with what becomes what. It's about luck. Because if they give you a whole lot of reagents and end products which you never see before how you know what react with what becomes that? To think I studied this until got headache (really a major headache) memorising like close to a million reaction.. organic molecules.. arrows on how the stupid electron or proton or hydroxide attacks.
- CN2122 (Fluids) - See 1st question.. can be done.. but tedious. Skip to 2nd question. Looks like can be done.. Find v3.. means use Continuity Equation.. v1A1 + v2A2 = v3A3... wait.. WHERE'S A3?? whoa die.. skip back to Q1.. spent 1 hour still cannot get answer.. *laugh* do the rest. See a question regarding Mixing Length Theory.. remembers a conversation with JK on the bus to the exam hall.......
Me: What is Mixing Length Theory? Is it like regarding 2 layers of fluids...?
JK: No! It's about blah blah blah blah (mind switch off already). Aiyah anyway won't come out one la. - CN2123 (Separations) - I studied every tutorial question faithfully except the last question of the last tutorial. And guess what? It came out. 20 marks.
- CN2121 (Thermo) - This is the least not funny because 'the whole world thought it was easy'. Yeah maybe it was. But I couldn't do 5 marks. Big deal right? Yeah and because of that I couldn't do the 20 marks that followed. Damn hope he gives method marks.
So the most confident module i have at hand is actually my MnO module.. of which I couldn't do 12 marks.. yeah coz I couldn't find the answer in time on my helpsheet before the time was up. Sigh. For such a competitive module like this.. I wonder how many grades this 12 marks will cost.
So what do all these mean? More visits to 观音庙 come Boxing Day when results come out.
PHANTOM
Yeah.. I was literally a phantom the past 1 month.. shuttling between the reading room and hss and my own room (to sleep) became almost like a routine. I think I knew all the phantoms in Hall already haha.. they are actually all in the reading room!
But this means I'm back in action! Today was the 1st day after so long that I went back doing Block Head stuff... giving out the Block T-Shirts (which are BTW super nice!!!). Yeap took the opportunity to go door to door to talk cock with people also.. Hmm.. Let's see...

- Update/spiff up the contents of my handphone
- Do images for the 27th Website!
- Brush up my Guitar (hahaha even Mark is better than me now!)
- Lose weight (I say that every semester haha)
Hmm.. whou look that the amount i've written! Haha.. Ok I just ate a cup noodles dug out from the depths of my house kitchen (apparantly my family is not into eating junk food.. yeah actually they are not). Guess it's time to go sleep soon. Going swimming with Gabe tomorrow.. haha time to lose weight + get a tan!
