Tree Top Walk Adventures
It was long since Eve and I hung out.. and instead of spending loads of money doing the standard watchmoviegoeatentertainment stuff.. we decided to do something healthy and walk the
HSBC Tree Top Walk at MacRitchie Reservoir!
Yea I can't believe I was doing this too.. but we walked 4.5km all the way into the heart of MacRitchie Reservoir just to walk across a suspension bridge with a view like this

But the exciting part of the day came when we were sick and tired of the jungle route (sian mah.. reach our destination already still must walk such a long way out.. ) and so we decide to wander into the

Singapore Island Country Club Golf Course!!
Haha.. but it turned out that we were in the way of millions of golfers who kept shooing us away as they tried to take their shots.. by the time we realised how our lives were in danger by plundering golf balls we were too far into the golf course to find our way out! Yes of course we encountered many 'Tresspassers will be Prosecuted' signs along the way...
But suddenly.. there was this small obscure road that seemed to lead to nowhere.. and we decided to take a shot.. and Voila!

We were suddenly at the main road again!
But guess where we ended up in?

ENG NEO FLYOVER!!
Haha we actually wandered that far! From MacRitchie to Eng Neo.. quite a feat yea!
In the end we walked all the way along the road until a cab was willing to pick us up.. and we made our way back to the MacRitchie car park.. back to Eve's good ol car.
Moral of the story:
Don't take short cuts.
Haha
Wad an adventure.
Letting Go
Maybe it was a mistake not to attend the SNDCC dinner.. a greater mistake to forget my camera that very day.. but it really sucks to be, finally for once, not participating in a hall/block event.
But it's time to let go.. real hard though. Maybe the overseas trip will distract all the 牵挂s I have back here.
And I'm really not used to being at the sidelines.. at the back of the pack. It's a pressing urge to be in front shouting doing stupid things leading the pack and suppressing myself so as not to steal the limelight from the new batch really needs some getting used to..
As the new batch of deeBlockers start to create their own identity.. and last year's freshies take on the new role as Seniors.. there are those who fail to catch up.. or connect with the changing dynamics of the people around. The year 3s.. me included.. are feeling the backlash.
It's hard to be the only siao-on year 3.
In the midst of flurry of activities, I tried to find, amongst the people engaged in their own batches, a friend from my own.. but ended up fading into the background watching the kids and grandkids enjoying themselves.
It's time to let go.
COMEX 2006
This was the shortest time I ever spent at any computer fair.. 20 minutes! And altogether I bought..
- 2GB Thumbdrive (Imation Swivel Pro 2)
- iPod camera connector (to store my photos when I travel)
- iPod travel charger
- iPod case
- iPod remote
Which altogether I spent $172!
Wad a feat.. haha..
That was on Saturday before heading for Yingying's Bday.. which was just like any normal birthday party except for this phenomenon....

Birthday party still must check IVLE!
Chem Engineers.. Haaaii.....
Anyway.. back to the COMEX topic.. I went back today to get a refund for the faulty iPod remote.. while my brother bought his Canon Ixus 60(!) and my father bought an Epson Printer and my mother bought her Canon Photo Printer!!
I love new gadgets.. that's why I love COMEX!!
