Flew from Dublin straight to Edinburgh. Met up with Fangxi and Summer and it was a great trip laden with cockups..
We booked our day trip tickets to Loch Ness only to be informed the morning itself that the trip had to be cancelled due to lack of people joining in the trip! So we wasted the whole morning planning to go to see the monster ourselves...
We had to take a bus/train down to Inverness.. then a 2-hourly bus to Drumnadrochit to where the lake actually is.. but the timing just couldn't work out. It's either we couldn't get there in time to catch a tour or we could not get a trip back to Glasgow.
Not till 20 minutes before the next Megabus trip when I called the day tour agency and he informed us of a tour that could fit within our timings! Voila! Immediately we went ahead to book our Megabus tickets..
BUT IT WAS FULL!!!
Whoa.. desperation almost drove us to take a 80 pound taxi or even rent a car to drive up to Inverness.. but luckily we didn't.
So we went up to Glasgow instead to spend the night there. Went to Inverness from Glasgow instead.
And so I thought the bus back from Glasgow to Leeds was at 2330hrs. Rushed back from Inverness, picked up our bags from Zhiyang's place and hailed a cab with Summer to the coach station.. only to find out in the taxi that the bus was at 2300hrs! We missed it!
What to do? Stay one more night at Zhiyang's place and take the next morning's bus back lor...
Summer kena caught for using my National Express card.. had to pay the balance.. wa lao so sway.
But it's things like these that make the trip memorable =)
