2007 and Beyond

Really overcame a lot of intertia before coming back to blogger to start posting again. This blog is like totally abandoned already.. except to those who suscribe to it using some reader or something.. otherwise.. it's more for my own keepsake..
Yes.. so I just had to write something about 2007.. after all.. a year had passed. Last year I was counting down at the London Eye how exciting. This year I spent it in Block D lounge with a bunch of lazy asses. Mental note to myself to plan my own mega uber exciting countdown with the kids next time since my older friends have worn out of the squeezing stage.
So.. to summarize 2007...
- IA experience. Bad company culture. Lousy work. Terrible location. Good friends. Too bad we rarely keep in contact anymore.
- Rag. Both a memorable and regretful experience. Memorable: Chancellors Shield and Friends. Regretful: I couldn't give my all and didn't make the best of friends.
- Reconfirm the fact that I suck at chasing girls.
- Bought my camera. Lost my camera. Canon Ixus 850IS.
- My first ICT as S2. I love my current Int Branch. Think we will have a great 10 years together.
- Perhaps the best decision I ever made in 2007 was to stay in Block D Level 6. The guy-bonding experience is really immensely comforting. An experience accelerated by halting my cheehonging forays into other levels.. an experience compounded by studying together for exams and doing traditional stupid Block D things together. I was still lamenting about after so man years in hall who are the true friends that I think I will still keep in contact with after graduating. It takes a lot of effort, time and sincerity to maintain friendships.. and amongst all the groups of friends that will come-and-go past me in life, I would really hope to cling onto 2 groups: MafBrothers and Block D Guys.
- After 24++ years it was interesting to meet a guy who thinks exactly the same way as I do. We are still different people, but when the similarities stand out, it amuses both of us. Haha.
And in 2008? Well.. here are what I'm going to do.. they are not resolutions.. for once I term them 'Resolutions' I most probably won't follow them haha.
- Study hard enough to upgrade my honours.
- Find a decent job. First I must really figure out what I want in life. Wasting the first few years to 'find out' or to 'make a fortune' is really quite a hefty price to pay.
- Plan my grad trip
- Start letting go of Block D and let the juniors take over.
- Lose weight. (Ok every year i make this
resolution statement but.. oh well) - Find girlfriend (That again.. I suck at that.. so oh well)
As i say every year..
HAPPY NEW YEAR PULL YOUR EAR!
